Escape into nature in the heart of the city
Summit Hoeriquaggo (Table Mountain) with the safe guidance of a local mountaineer. This hike takes you to the top of Table Mountain via a towering gorge running up the centre of the mountain, Platterklip Gorge. It’s a popular route up but don’t be fooled, you’ll have some work to do. Our guides will not only share lessons about the indigenous and non indigenous flora and fauna but about the culture and history and geology of Cape Town, so much of which is embodied in this ancient mountain. From the top, choose to ride the cable car down if weather permits or hike down.

Transfer to the start
Participants should be relatively active and able to walk for 3hours. There is about 650m of elevation from in total ascent but no technical sections (sand stone natural stairs all the way up). Perfect route for hikers who struggle with heights as the route stays away from ledges or exposure. It is advised that you eat before arrival and carry min 1 litre of water with you.
